The love of biking @ Cynergy is infectious.

I too am a temporary transplant from NYC, here for work. I impulsively bought a Mountain Bike on-line. It's been a while since I've ridden and the bike was admittedly a little advanced for me and it only had one gear. Curious weather I overpaid or if I bought a bike that didn't suit me I wandered into Cynergy. Not only were the happy to answer my questions about a bike I didn't buy from them, they actually knew the bike and the previous owner!!! They were able to give me the entire back story of the bike, all of the alterations and components, and testified to the quality care by the previous owner. These guys clearly know and LOVE bikes. I ended up having them add some gears to make the bike more user friendly and they did a terrific job! They even went out of their way to source out parts from another local store when something was on backorder so I didn't have to wait. Had I stayed in NYC I might have never ridden a bike again. The love of biking @ Cynergy is infectious. Now I will likely buy a road bike too! When I do, it will definitely be from Cynergy.

Thanks so much!

Sincerely,
Jeff L.

The other stores... looked at me like I was an idiot.

I moved to LA temporarily for my company. I am from NY but will be living in LA for this year. A few of my co-workers were interested in doing Duathlons and Triathlons so I figured why not and needed to get myself a bike. The tricky part when buying a bike is figuring out what exactly you want. I wanted a bike that could be used for both road and trails. I didn't want to buy two bikes and knew I wouldn't be doing too many tri/duathlons so getting a road bike would almost be a waste of money.

I started searching a number of stores in the Santa Monica area for a bike that I believed may not exist. Most of the stores did not have what I was looking for and even told me there was no such thing. It didn't make sense to me because even if I had to purchase another set of wheels and tires I would have done so. After visiting a few stores I headed home. On my way home is where I saw Cynergy. I walked in feeling kind of stupid because I was about to ask them the same question I asked the other stores and they looked at me like I was an idiot. BUT, that was not the case with Cynergy.

A friendly sales rep. came over to me and asked if he could help me. So I told him what I was looking for and he right away walked me to the section of the store that had exactly what I was looking for. He had a few bikes that fit the description, which amazed me because the other stores told me they didn't exist. The sales Rep. even explained to me the differences between the bikes and reassured me that I could do every thing from ride it in a Triathlon to jumping logs on a trail. They even gave me sale prices and discounts on the bike and accessories. This is the only place I will be going to buy the additional add-ons I'm looking for.

- Courteous, Knowledgeable and Helpful Staff
- Willing to provide discounts
- Huge Selection of bikes and accessories

Cynergy gets an A+ in my book.

Cynergy has set the new standard in bicycle retail...

After many frustrating visits to local bike shops in Los Angeles: being ignored, scoffed at for being a newbie and as far as being lied to about the product of interest (and it's price)...I literally stumbled upon Cynergy Cycles. I took a wrong turn and was just trying to find Santa Monica Blvd. (new to LA) and there it was. Almost a sight for sore eyes, beautiful bikes and displays and upon entering, a very welcoming, jovial yet very professional staff.

I test rode, bought and was fit for my very first road bike and that was the beginning of my current ongoing obsession. NOTE: this is a very good thing. Jim, Doug, John, Steve and the rest of the gang made me feel comfortable, educated and excited to begin my newest life journey. They invited me to races and events. And truly made me feel a part of the cycling community. What more can you ask for when you're the new guy?

I've since moved from Los Angeles to Los Gatos, CA. The shops in Northern California try to emulate, but have yet to perfect the atmosphere, professionalism and class that Cynergy Cycles brings to the bicycle industry-they all want to be Cynergy, but they aren't. No other shop has their stoke and passion for what they do...from the professional level, high end race bikes all the way down to your nephew's first walk-a-bike. Cynergy has set the new standard in bicycle retail.

If you're ever in the surrounding San Jose area and you happen upon a kid wearing a Cynergy Team Kit at the velodrome or local Cat5 road race, it's me...and I still represent my favorite shop in the world!

Many thanks and well wishes to all my boys at the shop!

Speechless...

My sincere thanks again for helping arrange the discount on the bike for Dr. Manning (science teacher at Vistamar High School in El Segundo).

In response to Dr. Manning's recent altercation in which his bicycle was destroyed, students in the AP Chemistry class created a fund to purchase him a replacement. With the generous support of Cynergy Cycles in Santa Monica, arrangements were made with Specialized bicycles to purchase a new bike at a very substantial discount. The students presented the new bike to Dr. Manning at morning meeting this past Tuesday and he was speechless — quite an unusual moment for Dr. Manning.

Thanks again guys,

71 Years Young!

Good morning:
I have had very recent email correspondence with Diego Viasus regarding my Specialized's crank problem. (which he INSISTED I get fixed right now!) I want to let ownership know that I loved your store when I saw it and spent a little money there a while ago, but this back-and-forth email with Diego surpasses any service I have ever received. I have, in fact, received the opposite from a local shop by a service manager with too much attitude for me. (I am 71), and have been riding since childhood, know a lot about bikes and rides and (sometimes, unfortunately) riders. And, I am in the fortunate economic circumstance that I could write a check for anything in the joint. I am not boasting, it's just the old case of writing off someone with white hair or just plain bad manners. Anyhow--you guys know how to run a business, right down to email. I think that is terrific. I ride at the beach when I can and will make it a point to come in and say thank you in person. I bought the new 23/25 specialized tires at your store and wanted you to know that they work very well on the Roubaix Comp Triple. I did some fast downhill in Arizona last week. They feel very sure footed.

Sincerely,
Bruce I. Newman, CFP

I came looking for a new bike to do a little trail riding and to start training for a 100 mile bike race. Your staff was completely helpful.  My sales person suggested two bikes for me based on what I planned to do and allowed me to ride them around a few blocks to give them a try. Afterward, I couldn't decide and needed some time. No pressure at all... he said to take my time and come back whenever I decided. Which was a few hours later. The service was excellent and selection was incredible (Specialized and Bianchi bicycles). The bike I bought was also $100 under MSRP (normally $1100). You guys are so friendly and knowledgeable. Come on in if you're interested in purchasing a quality bike or have questions.

Cynergy: you guys have the best bike shop I have ever been to. The staff are super friendly and they show not a shred of the yuppie spandex elitism that you find at so many higher-end bike shops, and none of that fixed gear elitism you find at so many shops on the east side. These people will give you honest advice and feedback and they won't sucker you into buying something that doesn't suit your needs.
